Maybe you’re thinking, I’d like to play a character today just to see my work through a different lens, but what character should I be? Here’s a fun trick, write a bunch of adjectives (wild, silly, monstrous, agile), then write a bunch of nouns (student, firefighter, lobster, clown). Take one of each at random and that’s your character.
Respond to emails the way a “happy doctor” would. Or a “professional emailer.” Or a “wacky tractor.”

This series was inspired by people asking me “How do I keep doing improv?” after a corporate improv workshop. There are, of course, improv classes, more workshops, team building exercises you can do with your group, but these games are specifically ones you can do on your own to practice “Yes and” and get into a state of play.
